Zhao Chunjiang graduated from Hebei Agricultural University in 1985, majoring in crop Cultivation and cultivation, and was admitted to The Crop Research Institute of Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences for master's degree. He received his ph. D. degree from Beijing Agricultural University in 1993. From 1991 to 1996, he served as assistant director and associate researcher of Crop Research Institute, Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences. From 1996 to 1999, he served as deputy director and researcher of Crop Research Institute, Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences. In 1999, he became the director and researcher of Beijing Agricultural Information Technology Research Center. In 2001, he became the director, chief expert and researcher of national Engineering Research Center for Agricultural Informatization. In 2002, he was the director and researcher of the Key Laboratory of Agricultural Information Technology, Ministry of Agriculture. In 2009, he served as the chief expert and researcher of National Agricultural Intelligent Equipment Engineering And Technology Research Center. He was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering in 2017
Long engaged in modern information technology and agriculture integration application research. Innovative achievements have been achieved in agricultural intelligent system decision-making platform, key technologies of digital agricultural sky and ground information acquisition, beidou navigation control and intelligent operation equipment of precision agricultural agricultural machinery, Internet of things measurement and control of intelligent agricultural greenhouse, and agricultural big data cloud service platform, which have been applied in nearly 30 provinces and cities across the country. He has been engaged in agricultural informatization theory, method and technology research for a long time.
